Poster: Self Tracking

One Week of Waiting

For one week I tracked every time I waited for something that interrupted the flow of something else I was trying to accomplish or an outcome I was waiting to obtain.

Outcome

Being aware of the tracking and having to catalogue and pay attention to every time there was a moment that could be considered waiting made the process that much more painful. This practice of self tracking really made me appreciate the value of being mindful. Having the ability to shut out distractions and focus on the moment in front of you affords moments of calm and reflection. Being painfully aware of everything that is occurring at any given moment or looking towards other moments as distraction can create stress and anxiety, creating unnecessary work for your mind.
